जीवन का आधार -जल 

आज सहेजा न जो जल को
सींचोगे  कैसे तुम कल को
निशुल्क जान बहाया था जब
याद करोगे हर उस पल को

हुई असंगत वह उक्ति कि
पैसा  पानी सा बहाया
अब तो वही सुजान जिसने
जल को भी धन सा बचाया

कलकल बहते झरने,नदियाँ
निर्मल झीलें,ताल - तलैयाँ
भरते कूप पेय जल से गागर
लहराता अप्रदूषित सागर

हैं आधार यही जीवन के
अपना आज और कल इन्हीं से
जब तक रहेंगे ये संरक्षित
तब तक ही हम सब सुरक्षित

क्या कर लेंगे हीरे मोती
देह जब नीर को व्याकुल होगी
न करो मलिन,न व्यर्थ बहाओ
जल की एक एक बूँद बचाओ

Translation of the poem:

If you don't conserve water today, how can you ensure 

a healthy and happy tomorrow?

Then you will remember and regret all those moments 

when you wasted water thinking it's free of cost.

The saying, "To spend money like water" is no longer valid. 

Now a person is considered wise when he saves water also

like money.

Our life is dependent on the water bodies- Rivers, lakes, 

ponds, wells, cascades, sea. We are protected /safe only 

as long as they are non-polluted and conserved.

How would all your wealth help when your body would be 

asking for water and there would be no fresh water to drink?

So neither waste nor pollute water and 

save each and every drop of it.
